Edward W. Thwaite - President of E.W. Thwaite Associates, Inc. - brings to clients extensive professional experience in both the brand and generic pharmaceutical industries. During his 17 years at Hoffmann-La Roche, Ed managed virtually every product in the company's pharmaceutical line, including the launches of Accutane® and Zantac® (in a groundbreaking joint marketing arrangement with Glaxo). Ed also managed the extensive work undertaken with regard to the patent expirations of and impending generic competition for Dalmane® and Valium®.
His experiences with Dalmane and Valium provided Ed with valuable exposure to the future of the generic pharmaceutical business. In 1985, at the most opportune time for the generic industry (due to passage of the Hatch-Waxman Act; Public Law 98-417), Ed joined Zenith Laboratories as Vice President of Marketing and Sales. During his years at Zenith, Ed coordinated the sales and marketing of more than 100 products, as well as having managing capacities for customer service, regulatory administration, and the launches of 12 products.
